The Grants to Wildlife Rehabilitators Project is administered by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) and is funded by a portion of the revenue from personalized license plate sales. Our mission is Saving Wildlife, and while our clinic is still operating, the education portion of our mission is difficult to fulfill traditionally since we are closed to the public.To over come this and serve our community, we have a brand new Resources page on our website City Wildlife's Internship Program offers college and graduate students the opportunity to play an important role in the care, rearing, and rehabilitation of orphaned and injured wild animals. Over the course of 10 to 12 weeks, City Wildlife interns have the opportunity to shadow our wildlife veterinarian and rehabilitation staff members and learn the natural history and husbandry of the. From its start in 1903, the National Wildlife Refuge System has owed its very existence to concerned citizens eager to protect America's natural resources. Over 100 people volunteer their time and ideas each year to the Complex.
